For me I applaud Julia Graves for single handedly helping the people in Haiti after Hurricane Mathew devastated most of the Island. She used the power of essential oils to treat many people with brutal injuries from falling debris, to terrible skin infections from infected rain water. Her pictures of before and after were powerful. With so much water and flash floods she rented a boat and created a mobile clinic to offer help selflessly to anyone that required it. Using homeopathy, acupuncture, aromatherapy, physiotherapy and more. She also trained the survivors to be assistants in her clinic which they are handling today.
Robert Tisserand spoke on Essential oil chemistry and pharmacology and where we stand today with natures pharmacy and how powerful using essential oils really is, with evidence based research. A very interesting conference indeed.
I had a lovely time with my girls going to the Lavender fields in Sutton and to Kew Gardens in Richmond. Kew is really any Clinical Aromatherapist dream, as you have most of the plants there that can be seen, touched and is a great learning opportunity for my students. Hopefully I can arrange a time to take them next year when it is the season again.
Well after all the food and drinks from the long summer break, I am sure it is time to detox, clean the body and rejuvenate, hence I am offering 40% off on Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Reflexology sessions this month. Do take advantage of this amazing offer. The Art of Blending is happening on 16th September for those interested. We will be offering another Fermented Food workshop on 3rd October, so stay tuned for more details.
Stay well, stay safe and keep smiling. Blessings…
